Youth Court Attorney Graduation

The Eastern Jackson County and Independence Youth Court graduation was held on Monday November 21, 2015 at the Fort Osage Center for the Performing Arts. A total of 41 student attorneys from the Cities of Independence, Grain Valley, and Oak Grove underwent 3 weeks of training and completed the bar exam. Honorable Judge W. Stephen Nixon conducted the swearing in . The graduation was moved from its original location of the Municipal Courtroom in Independence because we have basically outgrown the courtroom chambers.

This year Independence Youth Court will celebrate 30 years of serving the youth of Independence. Congratulations to all our new attorneys!!
